What’s in My Purse?: Sarah

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marymount chapter.

Girls, lets be real, we all curiously want to know what is in other people’s purses and bags. Even I am guilty of that! You can also tell a lot about a person based off of what they carry. In order to satisfy your curiosity and let you know a little bit more about me, I’m going to give you a peek at what’s inside of my purse, as well as some essentials I like to have with me at all times. Enjoy!

1. First things first, we have the purse itself. My purse is a black Alessa Southport Avenue crossbody from Kate Spade. It has a great leather exterior, a striped fabric interior, as well as several internal pockets, and a zipper pocket on the outside. It is very versatile and goes with just about anything!

2. The Wristlet: In order to make my life a little easier I have been carrying a wristlet instead of a wallet. I attach my keys to it and place all of my cards, money, and IDs inside, along with a mini hand sanitizer. This way, when I’m just going to class or don’t feel like toting my whole purse around, I can pull out my wristlet of essentials and I’m ready to go.

3. Cell phone: If you don’t have a cell phone, then you must not be a part of the 21st century. My cell phone is honestly my life. It has all of my photos, important information, social media, and emails on it. It’s also great for texting and phone calls too!

4. Sunglasses: When your future is as bright as mine you always need a pair of shades! Just kidding! I can’t leave my room without a pair of sunglasses though. Virginia weather is so unpredictable. It could be cloudy one minute and bright and blinding the next.

5. Deodorant: Yeah, this one may be kind of weird, but I always like to have a small thing of deodorant with me. You never know when you’ll get caught in the middle of a crisis and need to freshen up.

6. Mini-Emergency Kit: This little blue pouch is indeed a life saver. It contains anything you could ever need in an emergency situation, from an extra tampon to clear nail polish, you’ll never have to fret over a mishap or emergency again.

7. Beauty Bag: In order to make sure I’m smelling fresh all day and that my hands aren’t dry, I carry around this tiny pouch with some Bath and Body Works minis of my favorite scents. I have a hand sanitizer, a lotion, and some body spray. Sometimes, on a day where I’m wearing heavier makeup, I’ll also throw in some pressed powder to touch up with.

8, 9, and 10. Lastly, I just have some random essentials: Chapstick, a mini hairbrush, and my inhaler. These are supplies I cannot leave the house without!

Well Ladies, that is all that is in my purse. I hope I could curb your curiosity and give you a little glimpse into the person that I am!

Now I have to ask… what’s in your purse?!
