Spring Break at Marywood for sports is a chance for team bonding, showcasing our talents in tournaments and matches, and making great memories.

I cannot speak for the other sports teams, but from what I can tell, they have a great time and seem to make great memories with each other. As the Captain of the women’s golf team, I look forward to traveling with my team each year, where we are all able to play the sport we love, together. For the past few years, we have been traveling to San Diego, California. With the opportunity to travel to California, I had the lovely opportunity to play both Torrey Pines courses. For those of you who don’t know anything about golf or golf courses, Torrey Pines is home to some of the biggest PGA tournaments. Guys, I played on a course where the love of my life, Rickie Fowler played… For real though, who gets to say they travel to California for a week with their golf team? However, this year we are doing something different and traveling to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and I couldn’t be more excited to experience a new state with my girls. It is an NCAA rule that you must play in a match and/or tournament if you are traveling one-hundred miles outside of your university. This gives my team and I, new opportunities to experience different teams and play with new girls. It gives us the chance to challenge ourselves and helps us to prepare for our upcoming season. While on these trips, we get to play some of the best courses, which is pretty amazing. I’ve had some of the best times of my life on these trips with not only my team, but the men’s team as well. No matter what, we always make the best of it. Although we miss Scranton’s parade day every year, I must say it is pretty worth it for the memories I make with the team that I call my second family.
