Biggest Pet Peeve: Cutting in line!
Relationship Status: Happily taken for a little over five years!
HC(Her Campus):How did you meet your significant other?
MD(Mariah Dittrich):We went to high school together, and we had AP European History together—he was really good at it and I stunk!
HC: Were there any pick up lines that your boyfriend used on you that you liked?
MD: Well, he didn’t really use any pick up lines… wait, when we first started talking, he was playing tic-tac-toe with his friends via text message, and he asked me if I would play with him. When I said yes, he was like “Oh I need your phone number to do that,” so that’s a cute little pick up line I guess…we never played tic-tac-toe though. (laughs)
HC: What’s your ideal date?
MD: Spending the day doing something outside, like fishing or going to the beach, and then going home and cooking dinner together—maybe the fish we caught during the day! We also really like to crab together!
HC: What are your biggest turn-ons?
MD: Emotional- intelligence and cleverness and physical- eyes and hands! Daniel, my boyfriend, has these really pretty green eyes, and strong hands from fishing.
HC: Why did you choose Mary Baldwin?
MD: I didn’t! Mary Baldwin chose me! I was adamant that I was going to go to a Maryland school because I was from Maryland and I was frustrated because I felt that I was settling for every school there…I wasn’t drawn to any of them. So, when I got something in the mail from Mary Baldwin, I told my parents that I wanted to go look at it. I came down the morning after prom, still had my prom hair and everything, toured the campus, and walked into admissions to sign my deposit check. That was that!
