5 Easy Halloween Recipes to Make This Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at McGill chapter.

Besides attending Halloween parties, pumpkin carving, or handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, we all want some snacks sometimes. Here are five easy ways to celebrate the holiday in the comfort of your kitchen.

1. Ghost Strawberries

How cute are these? All you need are chocolate and strawberries! Super easy.

2. Puking Pumpkin

I didn’t find an exact “recipe” for this one, but it’s basically just carving a face into a pumpkin and having it “throw-up” whatever food you want on your platter. This can be fruit, veggies, crackers, etc.

3. Halloween Hot Cocoa

How cute are these? It requires a food-coloring marker, but I love hot cocoa enough to consider this one. You can buy one online off of Amazon or or use a toothpick with food coloring! This is a great way to cozy up in your living room while still celebrating!

4. Gingerbread Voodoo “Dolls”

If you’re willing to dedicate some more time to a Halloween treat, this one is perfect for you. These are super versatile since you can decorate the gingerbread men any way you want. Make them zombies, dolls, or ghosts!

5. Pumpkin Mandarins/Oranges

Super busy? You have no excuse. This one takes less than a minute per “pumpkin”. It’s just a subtle halloween celebration whenever you grab your serving of fruit for the day.
