What’s your major and year? Cognitive Science, U2.
What languages do you speak? Mandarin, English, and Frenglish.
Why did you choose to study at McGill? Because it was the top school in Canada in my year of application. It was all downhill from there.Â
Who’s your idol? Jesus.
Any siblings? Older sister and younger stepbrother.
Where in the world have you been? Many places that I have forgotten about.

What does a typical weekend look like for you? Waking up and hoping to do homework but…
Single/taken? Single and not ready to mingle, except on Christian mingle.
Favorite Asian snack:Â Dumplings.
Favorite way to relax: Eating, like, just eating, and eating…
Favourite thing about Montreal and least favorite thing about Montreal? There is stuff to do at night, but too many people here smoke!
Favorite childhood memory? My childhood was full of math and trying to get As, so there wasn’t much fun there.
Favorite Canadian city: Burnaby because that’s where I’m from, but I tell people Vancouver because no one knows where Burnaby is.
Tell me about your pet hamster:Â It has a tumor. It knows when I’m eating. It can smell it and it wants it.
What’s a winter accessory you can’t live without: My sandals #nosocksftw (Interviewer’s note: He’s not kidding. Oliver wears sandals straight through November and sometimes even December.)
What do you see yourself driving in 10 years? A car, hopefully.
