It is that time of year again. The time where students are being buried in work, but still don’t have any motivation to finish it. As a senior in their last semester of college, this feeling is all too familiar for me. In fact, I think it is the strongest it has ever been. Graduation is in a month and there are only three weeks left of school. The will to write my final papers and complete the smaller homework assignments is nonexistent. Want to procrastinate, but not sure what the best way to is? Listen to the wise words of an experienced procrastinator.Â
1.) Freaks and Geeks
Binging a television show is one of the best ways to past time instead of writing a thesis. However, eventually you are going to have to submit the paper, so choosing a show that is short is crucial this late in the game. “Freaks and Geeks” is a one season, eighteen episode show. If you enjoy feeling secondhand embarrassment and cringing at how awkward high school can be, then this is the show for you. It’s on Netflix and the episodes are not only relatable but hysterical and touching. Plus, who doesn’t love the James Franco and Seth Rogen combination? Well, this is where they met… and fell in love with working together.Â
2.) Clean your room
At this point in the semester, laziness is at an all time high. If your room is already clean, reorganize your closet. It is hard to work in a cluttered space, and as someone who doesn’t like studying in the library, cleaning my room is the first thing I do when I want to get a lot of work done. Cleaning can be fun too if you bump to the Cardi B’s new album!
3.) Go to the gym
The first gym trip is the hardest, but once you get into it, it comes more easily. If you want to make a work out playlist first, that will take up even more time!Â
4.) Make yourself dinner
Instead of going to the cafe, practice your “Chopped” skills and send a picture of your finished product to Gordon Ramsay via Twitter so he can critique it.Â
5.) Make a to-do list
And put little things on it like “wake up” and “call mom” so that you can cross them off and feel accomplished. Getting ourself organized is part of the battle and it takes time!Â
