Name: Kelsey Jones
Major: Marketing
Campus Involvement: I am a Peer Advisor, Ambassador, Service Scholar, Business Editor for the Cluster, and Greek.
What made you want to go Greek? I was definitely really excited about recruitment when I came to college. I was looking for a way to get plugged into campus, as well as a way to meet other girls. I had an absolute blast the week of recruitment, and I have enjoyed being Greek ever since.
Who is your role model? This is definitely a toughie. I have had some great mentors while in college—whether it is former bosses or favorite professors. On a personal level, I really admire my mom because she is such a strong, independent woman, and I hope to become half the woman she is someday.
Favorite tradition at Mercer: Signing the tower + Pilgramage to Penfield. I love both of these traditions because every year these events take on even more meaning for me.
Favorite class: My favorite class thus far has been Great Books. I love to write and I love discussing books, so this track has been the perfect fit for me. I am so grateful that Great Books has been a part of my college career.
What are your future plans? Great question! I am taking the GRE September 21st, so hopefully I am applying to graduate school after that. Wherever the road leads, I am positive that my foundation at Mercer has prepared me well.
