Apple has changed the way you live. The company’s iPod, iPhone, iPad, and Mac have shaken up music, phone, and computer markets worldwide. Last fall, Apple introduced the all-new smartwatch, Apple Watch. It’s known as the next big thing. But is it? Will it be a wearable and will it change the way we look at mobile computing? I strongly believe the answer is yes.

The Watch is the first brand-new Apple product to be launched without legendary co-founder Steve Jobs. Now, there are plenty of smartwatches already in the market, but the Apple Watch brings hope to a future bright for wearable technology. Here are three reasons the Apple Watch is the next big thing.

1) Health & Fitness

The Apple Watch will sync up with Apple’s Health application and allow for the tracking of heart rate, blood pressure, hydration, and blood sugar monitoring. It could conceivably be used as a remote health-monitoring device that helps doctors and nurses keep tabs on their patients. The Apple Watch is expected to take step-counting and sleep-monitoring to a whole new level. The wristband will allow you to measure how much sunlight you’re soaking up, your weight, hydration, and even the amount you sweat.

2) The Apple Ecosystem

Apple is the world’s most valuable company and also one of the largest. The consumer base for its products is huge and is always growing. You know many people who have iPhones, and they will have an amazing experience with the Watch.  The Apple ecosystem is robust, fluid, and very well integrated. You can use your Watch to check notifications on your iPhone. You can even respond to those notifications. Also, you can use your Watch as a remote, a key, a media hub, and so much more.

3) Stylish Jewelry

Beyond all its features, this is a watch. A watch is jewelry. A watch does more than just tell time. It adds elegance and style to your look. The Apple Watch’s screen is made from sapphire and is beautifully-designed. You can personalize your Apple Watch’s user interface or your watchband according to your personal taste.

Apple has announced a product that they believe is the most personal. It is something you can wear and, yes, even wear it while taking a shower. It has groundbreaking features, connects with your health and fitness, and adds class and elegance.  The Apple Watch will disrupt the current watch industry, led by companies like Fossil, Tag Heuer, and Movado that might team up with other tech giants. “Switzerland is screwed,” Jony Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of design, reportedly said after seeing the Apple Watch for the first time. That’s a strong statement, but it’s true because the Apple Watch, according to Citigroup, can make a $5 billion dent in the traditional smartwatch industry.

Apple Watch will be available April 24th and preorders start on April 11th.
