Meaghan Looney is a junior at Merrimack College. Meaghan is from Boylston, MA and became extremely successful when she entered Merrimack’s campus. She is double majoring in both Psychology and Interpersonal Communications. Through these two majors, she hopes to be a divorce mediator when she graduates. She enjoys helping people work through conflicts, and carries this enjoyment through her job as a Resident Assistant. She is always readily available to help her residents with any issue that may come up, and does it in a manner that allows for her to be successful. Along with being a Resident Assistant, Meaghan is also the President of the OnStagers Dramatic Society. This school year, the OnStagers will be putting on four plays, two in the fall entitled “The Shape of Things” and “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” and two in the spring entitled “Red Herring” and “Next to Normal.” Meaghan will be playing Rona Lisa Peretti in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” who is Putnam County’s top realtor and host of the spelling bee for 9 years in a row. Auditions for the spring plays have yet to happen. Finally, Meaghan is also apart of the Schola, which is a church choir at Merrimack College. They sing at Mass every Sunday. Throughout Meaghan’s years at Merrimack, she has grown to love the college. She says, “I love the small campus and small classes, the sense of community that is present everywhere on campus, and I love that everyone here is so accepting of anything different. There aren’t cliques or groups that are better than others, there are just college students who have different interests that all support each other.” Meaghan has grown to be a strong leader at Merrimack College, and will continue to blossom wherever life takes her!
