Merrimack Donates Blood for a Good Cause

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Merrimack chapter.

On October 17th, the Student Government of Merrimack College ran a blood drive, in a way to support the American Red Cross Association.

The American Red Cross came into Merrimack College at eleven in the morning, and did not leave until nine at night.  They drew blood from every willing and applicable student along with citizens from the surrounding communities.  This organization needs as much blood as possible, for they supply most of the blood for hospitals in Massachusetts, along with many other states.

Merrimack College was able to collect 75 units of blood, which will be used to save many lives in their surrounding community.  Overall, the blood drive was a huge success in which the American Red Cross truly appreciated.
