On October 17th, the Student Government of Merrimack College ran a blood drive, in a way to support the American Red Cross Association.
The American Red Cross came into Merrimack College at eleven in the morning, and did not leave until nine at night. Â They drew blood from every willing and applicable student along with citizens from the surrounding communities. Â This organization needs as much blood as possible, for they supply most of the blood for hospitals in Massachusetts, along with many other states. Â Â
Merrimack College was able to collect 75 units of blood, which will be used to save many lives in their surrounding community. Â Overall, the blood drive was a huge success in which the American Red Cross truly appreciated.
