Readjusting to college after a month off can be challenging. After resting at home for winter break, it’s easy to lose sight of productive habits. Here are some tips to help guide you in a positive direction as spring semester begins!

Use a calendar:

A calendar is a helpful tool to keep track of assignments, events, or any other important time commitments. Taking time out of your day to plan out your week using a calendar can help set a productive tone for the week.

Set aside time each day for school work:

Whether you have an hour or three hours, set aside a chunk of time each day for academic purposes. This routine will allow you to stay on top of assignments, attend office hours, and make your days more productive overall. Plus, after focusing for an hour, it may be hard to stop!

Incorporate hobbies or involvements:

Making the best of free time will allow you to feel way more fulfilled. Finding a new hobby or involvement on campus will give you an outlet to express yourself, and enjoy your time on campus.

Finding a new study spot:

Having a study spot on campus is crucial to increasing productivity. Maybe last semester’s study spot wasn’t what you were looking for, and if that’s the case, now is the time to find a new one! Take into consideration the perfect environment that allows you to focus, and find a spot that works best for you.

Save time for family:

Keeping in contact with family is super important, especially if you live on campus. Although going home may not be attainable for some, even a simple phone call is more than enough to make both you and your family’s day so much better!
