Taylor Swift is a name that most of the country is familiar with. The 22 year old singer, songwriter, country/pop star just released her fourth album titled “Red” on October 22. Fans all over were excited about the new debut, which led to selling over 1.2 million copies within the first week alone.
Compared to her past albums released, this album is unique. She strays away from her country roots and leans more towards pop. Many of her songs are different from what we are used to hearing, but a few singles maintain the same accoustics found in past albums.
Swift writes all her songs herself, or co-writes them with others artists. As we know, Taylor is notorious for writing songs about her ex flings, which connects with fans that have had similar experiences. The ability that Swift has to connect with her audience on such a personal level is what makes her a great entertainer.
There are many favorites from Taylor Swift’s new album, “Red.” The day the album came out, twitter and facebook was blown up by the many reactions of fans on the various songs. Some of the top fan favorites included 22, I Knew You Were Trouble, and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
