Harry Styles premiered the Kiwi music video on November 8. When you first hear the title of the song, you think it could be a wholesome song about kiwi, the fruit. But, it is not.
The lyrics go “I’m having your baby, it’s none of your business.” What is that supposed to mean? The song is about this girl who is driving him “crazy”, but he is “kind of into it.” So, you would think that the video would be shots of him and this girl in a club of some sort. Surprise, it is not.
The music video begins with a message stating “No children or animals were harmed in the making of this film.” I’m sorry, WHAT? What is that supposed to mean?! Then the music starts and a kid, dressed in a suit, is walking down a school hallway into a room filled with kids dressed nicely. They are wearing clothes/suits that are chic and bougie. The kids are dressed better than I will ever dress.
They all have desserts in their hands and arguing. Someone must have been a tattle-tale because there is a lot of tension in the room. Next thing you know, they start throwing the food at each other. Why aren’t they eating the delectable food?!
It is not until minute 2:16 that we see Harry Styles walk in the gym. He is wearing the same suit as the first kid we see. The kid does not know how lucky she is because it is goals to match Harry. But, wait, Harry is holding a puppy? And then a swarm of puppies come running in?
Finally, kids are “hurt” and playing “dead” on the gym floor because they have been hit by food.
So, my analysis of this music video is that while it does not follow along with the lyrics of the song, it is goals. Who wouldn’t want to participate in a food fight in nice clothes with puppies running around you? Also, who wouldn’t want to be in the same room as Harry Styles? Feature Photo
