Meet Duke Butler, an American Studies and Creative Writing double major at Miami University.  From a big family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Duke is a creative jokester who truly values his friends and family.  While you shouldn’t take everything he says seriously (jokester, remember), this friendly cutie shares some interesting and amiable facts about himself:

HC: Â What made you decide to study American Studies and Creative Writing (English)?DB: I have always enjoyed studying history and languages. And writing has been a hobby of mine since I was young, so creative writing as a major made a lot of sense.
HC: How big is your family?  Any siblings?DB: I have a pretty big family, there’s six of us. It’s me, my younger brother, and my two older sisters. Actually, my sisters both graduated from here. Then there’s Mom and Dad.
HC: Do you have a significant other?DB: Nope, I am single and love Pringles.
HC: Who would you say is your closest friend?DB: I am crazy popular and have tons of friends, but my closest would be Max Zid, Alex Walker, and Andrew Hennessey.
HC: What do you value in your friends, family, and other people that you meet?DB: Friendship and love.
HC: What is your favorite characteristic about yourself?DB: I like that I can draw. I doodle during all of my classes and couldn’t imagine how long my classes would be if I wasn’t able to draw.
HC: What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done (that you feel comfortable telling us)?DB: I climbed a tree outside our house the other day. It was so climb-able that I ended up getting three stories high before turning back.
HC: Do you have a motto? Â If so, what is it?DB: Be nice to people.
HC: What is your favorite pastime?DB: Drawing and football.
HC: What are some of your favorite items still on your bucket list?DB: I have to skydive sometime this fall.
HC: What is your first thought when you wake up in the morning?DB: Water…Need. Water.
