Arya Stark is without a doubt one of the best characters in Game of Thrones, but that is my completely biased opinion. She has been training for six seasons to become the warrior she is today and in last week’s episode, she proved herself once again. Now, if you somehow haven’t watched the last episode, live under a rock, or are just now deciding to start watching Game of Thrones, then do not read the rest of this article because there are going to be MAJOR SPOILERS.Â
Okay, so if you saw the last episode and went through 200 different emotions as the Night King was reaching for his sword to kill Bran only to be stopped by Arya, who appeared from literally out of nowhere, then you are not alone. Arya killing the Night King in a surprise attacked shocked many, but if you go back and pay attention to all the details then you would realize that it makes complete sense that it was Arya who delivered the final blow. Here are the biggest moments that foreshadowed Arya’s big moment:
1. “What do we say to the god of death?”
“Not today.”Â

Season 1
Season 8
2. Her confrontation with the Red Woman in season 3.
3. Arya killing House Frey, a.k.a. Arya killing brown eyes.
4. Bran gave Arya the Valyrian steel dagger that she uses to the kill the Night King in season 7 in the exact same spot she that ends up killing the Night King in season 8. This dagger was also used to try to kill Bran in an earlier season and now Arya uses it to save his life.Â
5. Arya fighting with Brienne in season 7 foreshadows the exact same move she uses against the Night King to deliver the kill that he did not see coming.
We always have and always will stan a Queen, a warrior, a bad*ss, the best character to ever exist since day one: Arya Stark
