Welcome Home Miami!

Yes, we said home. It’s a privilege to call Oxford your home, and we know all too well that the four years fly by fast. As seniors, it’s terrifying and exhilarating to realize that these are our last semesters of dancing at Decibel until 2 a.m. and lining up at Patterson’s the morning after, having your best friends only a short walk away and living on the most beautiful campus.

We encourage everyone to make their Miami experience count! Go to hockey games, spend more hours choosing your outfit with your best friend than you actually do at the party, and just go on a date with that guy you’re on the fence about. Keep in mind the big picture.

Collegiettes–you know we want you to have a fun and fabulous semester, but we encourage you to remember it won’t last forever. Don’t take it for granted and don’t forget to keep your goals and GPAs high. Welcome home.

Alaine Perconti graduated from Miami University (OH) with degrees in Marketing and Journalism. She is the co-founder of the Miami (OH) Chapter and was President from 2011-2013. After graduation, Alaine moved to Cincinnati, OH where she works for a digital marketing agency and is an active volunteer for a local animal rescue. As an HC Alum, Alaine is now a Her Campus Chapter Advisor and is excited to be a positive influence and professional partner for CC's in her new role.
