Last week I was given the opportunity to get to know Cecilia. Even though we’ve been in Her Campus together for a little while now, I didn’t know her that well. Through the interviewing process, I found out that we had a lot in common and it was so nice to get to know her better! Here are my questions and her answers:
- How did you find out about Her Campus? What encouraged you to join?
-
I found out about Her Campus through Org Outbreak. I wanted to join Her Campus so I could be in a girl’s group that wasn’t a sorority.
- What is your zodiac sign?
-
I’m a Taurus.
- Do you have a favorite band or song?
-
My current favorite group is Dan + Shay. I’m not sure how to explain their music style…. Like, pop-ballad? It’s very acoustic-y and slow….. Their Spotify says “country”.
- Do you have a favorite book?
-
My favorite book is called Beautiful Disaster.
- How about your favorite movie?
-
I really like Hercules. The Disney version.
- What is your major? Do you have a minor?
-
My major is secondary education with a concentration in social studies and my minor is international studies.
- What are your goals post-graduation?
-
I would like a good teaching job. Ideally, I would like to teach middle school, like 8th grade. If not 8th grade then maybe 11th or 12th.
- Are you involved in any other campus organizations?
-
I’m in PCSS which is the Pennsylvania Council for Social Studies. I also want to try to do the Color of Teaching [a mentoring program aimed at supporting middle school and high school students in their secondary school studies as well as encouraging them to consider careers in education] next semester or next year.
- What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?
-
I’m so busy right now, I don’t even know… When I have time I enjoy painting a little bit. I also like to try new things, get out, and explore.
- Who is your favorite professor on campus?
-
Dr. Mrs. Bookmiller. There’s two Dr. Bookmillers, so she’s the Mrs. She teachers global politics, global disasters, etc. She influenced me when picking my minor.
It was a pleasure getting to know Cecilia! Keep an eye out for all of her awesome articles here!
