She’s a 10, but she makes loving fall her only personality trait from September 1st to November 30th.

I’ve always been a lover of all things fall. Going to a Fall Fest? Perfect, I’ll be there. You want to carve a pumpkin? Let’s carve three. Want to look at the changing leaves? I’ll drive.

As a self-proclaimed fall expert, I’ve compiled a list of all the things I have found to be essential in order to have the perfect fall season. In no particular order, here are my fall favorites.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (In Vanilla)

This is a MUST HAVE for all my chapped-lipped beauties out there. When the weather gets even slightly colder, my lips go from smooth as a baby’s bottom to chapped in two seconds. I’ve tried chapstick after chapstick, and I never found one that got the job done. That all changed when I bought the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. The mask comes in multiple flavors, but my personal fall favorite is vanilla. I will never use another chapstick ever again.

Lip Scrubs

Obviously, I feel really passionate about lip care during the fall. I always keep a few lip scrubs handy to help keep my lips from looking crusty and dry. I highly recommend the Burts Bees Conditioning Lip Scrub to keep those lips looking glossy.

A Good Fall Perfume

I spend more money on perfume and body spray than I’d like to admit. I think I might be obsessed with making sure I smell good.

With that being said, I have a scent (or five) for each season. In the fall, I like to wear a sweet vanilla perfume. I genuinely want you to think I just strolled out of a bakery. My current favorite fall scent is the Vanilla Bourbon perfume from Target.

Cardigans and Turtlenecks

Hear me out. I love a good sweater; however, in my mind, sweaters belong primarily to winter and cardigans belong to fall. There is just something about a cardigan that really makes me feel like Rory Gilmore (if you don’t get that reference, please refer to #8 and watch Gilmore Girls immediately). If you’re looking to purchase a good cardigan, I suggest shopping at Old Navy, American Eagle, and/or Target. Put me in a cardigan, and I feel studious and unstoppable.

Turtlenecks and I used to have a very strong love/hate relationship. In my younger years, when I was full of naivety, I hated turtlenecks. I thought they made me look like an old lady and essentially stopped my ability to breathe. Obviously, I was a little dramatic. Now, however, you will likely find me wearing a turtleneck every single day. Turtlenecks are so versatile and have the ability to easily elevate an outfit. Wear a turtleneck under a cardigan, a crewneck, a denim jacket, a flannel, or literally anything else, and you’ll look like a million bucks. I buy all of my turtlenecks off of Amazon! Pro Tip: Buy a turtleneck body suit. It makes life so much easier.

Boots

Boots are a staple in my fall wardrobe. Personally, I recommend having a pair of tan/white boots, a pair of brown boots, and a pair of black boots. My favorite boots right now are the “Belle Chelsea Boots” from Target. You can’t go wrong with a good pair of boots.

Chai Tea Lattes

You will not find me watching a show that has any reference to summer during the fall season. In order to really embrace fall, you have to watch a show with all of the fall vibes. My personal favorites are Friends, One Tree Hill, Friday Night Lights, and, of course, Gilmore Girls. Listen, I am a chai tea latte fan all year round, but something about a chai tea latte in the fall just feels right. My personal Starbucks order is a grande *hot* chai tea latte with almond-milk and brown sugar syrup. Give it a try. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Soup

Did you really think I wouldn’t include soup in a list about fall essentials? Fall season is soup season. You can’t go wrong with a good soup. My personal favorite fall soup is a Ham and Potato Corn Chowder.

Here is my favorite recipe: https://www.closetcooking.com/ham-and-potato-corn-chowder/.

Tv Shows with a Fall Vibe

You will not find me watching a show that has any reference to summer during the fall season. In order to really embrace fall, you have to watch a show with all of the fall vibes. My personal favorites are Friends, One Tree Hill, Friday Night Lights, and, of course, Gilmore Girls.

The number one essential thing to have a good fall is to go out and have fun participating in fall activities. Grab your best friend, your partner, your mom or dad, or someone who loves fall as much as you do, and go to a fall fest, pick some apples, carve a pumpkin, watch a Halloween movie, have a bonfire, or just drive around and take in the beautiful changing leaves.

I can promise you I won’t shut up about fall until the end of November. Starting December 1st, it’s all about the holiday season for me. Until then, happy fall, y’all!
