Like many, I’ve had my heart broken countless times. Ironically, I’ve never actually been in a relationship for this to happen, but the thing is you don’t need to be. However it’s caused, heartbreak that makes us stronger and we learn from those mistakes. With that, I created a playlist dedicated to those who have caused my heart to feel a certain type of love and the result of what I felt because of it. Could be rejection, realization, thrill, remorse, you name it. Whatever made my heart grow into what it is today. Each song is a representation of a certain person, era, or feeling I had falling in and out of different types of love. There even might be more than one song for each category. While they are in chronological order, I have decided to protect the guilty and will not specify any further details to keep the mystery and suspense alive. I hope you can relate to some of the songs and sing along with all the other broken-hearted this Valentine’s day.
Oh, and if you are one of those people reading this article… have fun figuring out which song is yours. This is like my own Taylor Swift moment.

Going back through each and every song, the memories come flooding back like a river on a rainy day. How I felt nervous, vulnerable, scared, excited, and guilty. Not everything works out, but sometimes we learn from our mistakes and evolve as humans. We move on and continue to be friends, stop talking, or see each other once in an Instagram post. As much as I’ve hurt, I’d rather feel something and know I am capable of more no matter what decision I make. I am happy where I am in my life right now and can’t wait to see what else breaks my heart in the future…
Probably when Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift drop their next albums.
