As Halloween winds down and we head into November, the weather has been getting chillier and the days have been getting shorter. We’ve reached that time of year when staying in for the night sounds a little more appealing than having to bundle up and brave the cold to do something fun. But that’s okay, because there are plenty of fun things to do inside! One of my personal favorites in the fall is to get all wrapped up in the biggest, fuzziest blanket I own, make a delicious mug of hot chocolate, and curl up on the couch with my boyfriend to watch a nice movie. Here is a list of my top movie hits to watch in the fall.
You’ve Got Mail
Meg Ryan, autumn leaves, an abundance of coziness, all the feels. Need I say more?
Halloweentown
Yes, I know Halloween is over! But that absolutely does not mean that you cannot binge watch as many Halloween movies as you can while snacking on leftover candy! And for that matter, add Hocus Pocus to the list (Still haven’t seen Hocus Pocus 2 though, so I can’t comment on that yet!)
Every single Harry Potter movie ever
If you love Harry Potter as much as I do, then you know the books and movies have that wonderful magical spark that fits this season perfectly. Plus, there are some excellent fall vibes and scenes in nearly all the movies. Hogwarts is the destination for this time of year.
Sweet Home Alabama
This has always been one of my favorite romantic comedies. Aside from Reese Witherspoon’s inherent awesomeness, this movie has a unique plot, lovable characters, and is overflowing with southern charm.
The Proposal
This might technically be a Christmas movie, but it also works for fall. Anyway, who can say no to Ryan Reynolds at any time of the year?
Legally Blonde
While Legally Blonde probably isn’t what most people think of when they hear the word fall, it’s such a great flick to watch when you want a fun throwback. Plus, Elle Woods’ endless confidence will make you feel like you can accomplish anything (even finals) – and all while looking your best!
