Nicole Urzendowski is a freshman here at the University of Minnesota, studying Communications and Sports Management. While Omaha, Nebraska is the place that this collegiette calls home, one might say she’s found a second home with her teammates on the University of Minnesota Dance Team. As a member of the dance team, Nicole has been able to amp up her gopher pride and help her team bring home their seventh consecutive National Championship! The football field isn’t the only place you’ll find her dancing, though. Nicole gives back to her community by mentoring young dancers at the studio where she grew up, guiding them in developing their technique while getting to know the students on a personal level.
Despite being a self-proclaimed girly girl, Nicole loves a good summer baseball game and comes from a family of football lovers. Nicole hopes to one day work in Public Relations, more specifically with athletes and sports teams– a perfect fit given her background in college athletics and her bubbly personality! Nicole says that the best advice she has ever received was, “Always believe in yourself. Push yourself beyond your own limits and surprise yourself with the success you can accomplish by your own drive and determination.”
