Chloe + Isabel is an online boutique that gives college students a chance to become merchandisers. One Mizzou student, Ashley Campbell, a senior studying business management, is taking that opportunity. Ashley has already had a lot of success as a merchandiser selling to friends and family and she is even one of the top merchandisers at Mizzou!
Her Campus Mizzou: Why should students buy from your Chloe + Isabel page?
Ashley Campbell: My collection offers a variety of different styles of jewelry along several price-points. You’ll find brightly colored statement jewelry, as well as simple and classic pieces for everyday wear. All of our jewelry is nickel-free, lead safe and comes with a lifetime guarantee.
HCM:Â What is your favorite item? What is your most popular?
AC:Â One of my favorite pieces is the Pave + Textured Leaves Drama Necklace. It features bright crystals and a 12k gold-plated design that is both stunning and sophisticated. I get compliments on it every time I wear mine.
HCM:Â How did you get involved with the company?
AC:Â I was looking for a way to gain real-world business knowledge while working full time and going to school. Chloe + Isabel gave me the opportunity to learn every aspect of running my own small business, from financing my investments to marketing and advertising the collection.
HCM:Â How popular is Chloe + Isabel at Mizzou now? What is your goal?
AC: I first got involved with Chloe + Isabel last spring and I’ve sold mostly to friends and family. I would love to expand my business to the Mizzou community and let students hear about the collections I offer. Although some of the pieces are more expensive than others, I have a large selection of pieces that are priced below $50. I’d love to share my jewelry with girls who are looking for that flawless look for their sorority formals. I’d also love to share my collection with guys who are looking for the perfect gift for their moms or girlfriends.
