We don’t blame you if you can’t stop listening to one of Adele’s newest songs on repeat. Did you ever stop to think about what your favorite track could say about you, your love life, or your past relationships? We decided to do some of the thinking for you.
*WARNING* May Get Depressing
“Hello”:
Chances are, if this is your favorite song, you’ve messed up in a past relationship. You regret how things ended and have thought about making amends only to be thwarted with a box of Kleenex and a bottle of wine.
“Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”:
You’ve recently moved on from an ex. And although you two loved each other, you’ve come to terms with the fact that it wasn’t meant to be.
“I Miss You”:
You’ve been thinking about that special someone lately. Whether that be a crush or an ex, everything you see reminds you of him and you’ve been debating on if you should tell him… especially after that fourth shot of tequila kicks in.
“When We Were Young”:
This song reminds you of your first love, also known as the one that got away. You recently happened to run into each other, and of course he looks better than ever. You talk for hours and later part ways. And he becomes the one that got away… again.
“Remedy”:
You’ve been friends with this guy for a long time and have always known on a deeper level that you have feelings for him. You help him get through a bad break up with his ex-girlfriend, and your relationship soon develops into something more.
“Water Under The Bridge”:
This song is about the guy that broke your heart. He dragged you along partly because he didn’t know what he wanted and partly because you let him. But you forgave him and yourself and decided to take a break from boys for a while.
“River Lea”:
You’ve met a guy and are scared to let him in. He doesn’t understand why you are so standoffish but finally with some convincing from your girlfriends, you tell him why it’s hard for you to open up to others.
“Love In The Dark”:
This relationship started out perfect. As it turned out, it was too good to be true. Now, you can slowly feel yourselves growing apart from one another. You decide to try to work it out but know that in the end, it’s not going to happen.
“Million Years Ago”:
You realize that you’re growing up and your lack of future husband prospects makes you feel uneasy. You long for the days when things were much simpler and you didn’t have to worry about the future.
“All I Ask”:
This song is about that guy from your hometown. You two decided to do different things and go separate ways after graduation, and although it didn’t end because you weren’t in love, you still think about him and the memories you shared together.
“Sweetest Devotion”:
This song is about the moment you realized that the guy you’ve been seeing was “the one.” You two are best friends and partners in crime and you don’t care who knows it.
