Out of all the millions of movies out there, sometimes it just takes one to spark an interest. How to Train Your Dragon did that for me. I remember watching the first movie in the series when I was younger, and I absolutely loved it. Then the story continued with the sequel and most recently with the third installment. What I love about this movie series is the fact that each film progresses to a new part of Hiccup’s life. It starts out with him first being introduced to dragons at a young age, then moves on to him training, protecting and fighting for these dragons.
“How To Train Your Dragon 3,” the latest film in the franchise, ends the series on a great note. At this point in his life, Hiccup is trying to figure out exactly who he is and what he wants in his future. Toothless has always been by his side, but Hiccup learns to be confident in himself and his own abilities.Â
Toothless has some adventures of his own where he finds a dragon of his own kind. The interaction between the two of them is absolutely adorable and would make anyone smile.
The animation is stunning, the story is timeless and the characters are so unique and real. The interactions and conversations put you in the scene right there with them and truly makes a memorable story.
This movie made me cry on multiple occasions, both sad tears and happy tears. IÂ almost felt like a child because I couldn’t hold back the tears, but that just goes to show what a great movie this was. Overall, the film just fills your heart and makes you remember why you used to love the idea of dragons and fairy tales.
