If you haven’t heard of incorporating turmeric into your skincare routine, now you have.

This mask is like an at home facelift! I use this mask 2-3 times a week before bedtime and it has helped even my skintone, acne, minor wrinkles, and lighten my dark under eye circles! That’s right—I put this on under my eyes. Below you’ll find the recipe for my easy, homemade mix. Try it for yourself and you’ll see and feel why I swear by this face mask!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. Gram Flour

  • 1 tsp. Milk

  • ½ tsp. Turmeric

  • ½ tsp. Honey

  • (Optional) drops of lemon juice

Mix the ingredients together avoiding the eyebrow area (turmeric can promote but also diminish hair growth so be aware) and wait until the mixture becomes hard. Wash off with warm water, and exfoliate lightly.

*I advise mixing in a glass bowl or washing utensils immediately after because turmeric DOES stain. That being said, wear a shirt you don’t mind possibly ruining, and clean the sink after you wash. Do not be alarmed by the turmeric staining your nails, hands, or face – this may happen. I usually do this at night and wash my face with a cleanser, then wash my face in the morning and the stain is gone. This is why light exfoliation is suggested although, the best option is doing this facemask on a night in!
