Recently, a friend of mine from home came to visit and we spent the day shopping and walking around the city. One of the stores we went to was Zara on 5th Avenue. The few times that I’ve shopped at Zara in the past, I was not very interested. I was around 14 years old, at the time, and I was much more interested in shopping at Delia’s. As I’ve gotten older, my personal style has evolved and so has my interest in fashion. What I’ve come to realize is that Zara has chic clothing and despite it being a bit more expensive than stores I would typically shop at (like Forever 21 and H&M), I feel that staple wardrobe pieces are worth investing in at Zara. The quality of the clothing is great and the styles are editorial and on trend, yet classic and timeless. I recently bought a striped t-shirt from Zara and I have been wearing it all the time! I’ve also noticed that the clothing Zara carries really fits my personal style. I tend to gravitate towards neutral colors, such as black, gray, and nude (since they go with everything!) and Zara is certainly the place for staple wardrobe pieces.

I love how wearable their garments are as well. Since their clothing fits my personal style, I think I would be more likely to step out of my comfort zone and try different looks in pieces from Zara because of the neutral color scheme they use. When my friend and I went during her day visit, I saw a cute, grey, checked jumpsuit! It was too expensive, so I’m definitely going to wait to see if I can get it on sale, but immediately after I saw it, I started picturing different ways I could style it for everyday use. Zara is a fast fashion clothing store—a store that changes its inventory frequently to keep up with the trends from runway shows—so they are always updating their pieces in store and online. With the weather getting chillier outside, I’m excited to see all of the winter coats, sweaters, and festive pieces that Zara is going to display for the holidays!
