I believe traveling is one of the most rewarding and empowering things you can do in your lifetime. I think it’s important for everyone to get out and see the world. There are so many beautiful and wonderful places and things out in the world that everyone should experience so here are 6 travel quotes you should live by:
1. Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
So what if you don’t really have the money? You’ve got your whole life to pay it off. Money doesn’t compare to experience. I promise you, the memories you make and the places you go will be well worth the money you spent on the trip. The plane ticket price or gas money won’t matter because you’ll have pictures and memories for the rest of your life. And that is priceless.
2. And then I realized adventures are the best way to learn.
You can learn a lot about places in books or on the Internet and through pictures but nothing compares to the true beauty of experiencing something in person. When you’re traveling you can learn a lot about the place you’re visiting, but also about yourself. You might find a new food you like or didn’t like. Traveling shapes us and gives us new experiences you can’t get anywhere else.
3. We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.
The world we live in is so high-speed and fast-paced that we don’t have a lot of time to stop and enjoy the little things in life. We’re so caught up in our day-to-day lives that we feel like we don’t have time to travel or do things for ourselves. We get in this routine and it’s hard to break. Traveling is a way to let everything go and be able to remember and appreciate the life we live and the things we do on a regular basis.
4. Travel because life is short and the world is huge.
There are plenty of reasons to not book a trip like you don’t have the time or money but when will you have that? Later? Maybe, but tomorrow isn’t always promised and there are so many things to get out and see in the short amount of time we have in our lives.
5. You weren’t born to just pay bills and die.
Sure, there can be a lot of success and happiness in going to school to get a job to pay the bills and live your life. But is that truly enough? It isn’t for me. We weren’t put on this planet to be ordinary and do the same things every day. Change it up, take a different way to work or school. Take a day trip somewhere. It doesn’t matter what you do, just go out and do it.
6. The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.
Don’t read one page, read them all.
