Are you the type of person who is already contemplating about what costume to wear to what Halloween party? Well, here are some helpful safety tips to think about before you go out on Halloween weekend, collegiettes!
- Use the buddy system. Yes, I know we have been using the buddy system since grammar school, but even in college you should still use it! Bring a friend with you to the party you are attending and make sure you stay with them throughout the whole night.
- Never leave your drink unattended. Make sure you grab your own drink and take it everywhere you go, whether it’s to another room or even to the bathroom.
- Don’t drink and drive. Arrange for a reliable ride before and after the party you are attending, and this does not include a witch’s broom. You also want to make sure your driver stays sober.
- Costume apparel. You are going to want to make sure your costume is comfortable to wear all night. Also, wear shoes that you are able to walk properly in. We wouldn’t want a wardrobe malfunction when you are dancing!
- Hosting the party. If you are the person who is hosting the Halloween party at your house, make sure all breakable items and valuables are stored away! You also want to make sure you decorate your space with festive, scary Halloween decorations.
- Charge your cell phone battery. Nothing is worse than a dead cell phone battery, especially when you need it in case of an emergency. Have your cell phone on you at all times during the party and the back light can also guide you through the dark, just in case.
If you follow these tips, you are ensured to have a fun and haunted night. Happy Halloween!
