Artisans from all over the world utilize Instagram, Etsy, and other social networks to advertise and sell their work. Warning: this can lead to stumbling upon some pretty sweet talent! Using these platforms also helps people and brands find partnerships and collaborations which is exactly how I found out about Lindsey Campbell of Hello Hydrangea. She is currently in collaboration with Anthropologie and it all started with her insane weaving skills.Â
Hello Hydrangea is the name of Lindsey’s brand of woven wall hangings, tapestries, and more. She blogs about how to recreate her patterns and weaving designs and includes detailed photos for those new to the weaving game. Just recently, Lindsey was contacted by Anthropologie to translate her fabulous fibers and designs into accessories and home decor. Her most recent designs featured at Anthro are in the form of scarves inspired by different tapestries. All of Lindsey’s work is handmade and available on her Etsy shop! Lindsey also offers an online class that people can pay for to learn how to recreate her most coveted designs. It’s clear that Lindsey puts in a lot of work and dedication when it comes to Hello Hydrangea and she has a huge following on Instagram, over 23,000 to be exact. It is exciting to see where Lindsey will end up, she a wife and mother of one, living in Arizona. Hopefully Lindsey continues to conjure up innovative designs and techniques to keep attracting people to her shop as well as to her classes. I recently took up weaving because I was inspired by her designs and I would love to be able to create something of my own. It’s definitely tricky at first but as with all things, practice makes perfect and with a bit of Lindsey’s insight of course!
