Veronica Beard’s collections are catered to women to help boost confidence. From the decor to the fun upbeat music during their show, this was definitely evident. The room had hot pink lights reflecting on the wall, string lights wrapped around the poles and upbeat music playing loudly through the speakers. Right from the start I could tell it was going to be a fun show.
The models took the runway one by one wearing an array of gorgeous outfits ranging from maxi dresses to business wear. The business wear included beautiful blouses, blazers, jackets and full suits. A favorite of mine was the floral maxi dresses and skirts that flowed very nicely as the models made their way down the runway. A suit made completely of denim was also a unique item! These different designs reminded me of outfits a woman could wear both to work and to go out after.
The colors ranged from brights to neutrals. The colors that showed up the most in the show were blue and orange. Every few items had one of these colors in it, or both and were used on dresses and blazers, or even belts and boots. Other colors used occasionally were purple, pink and green. Some outfits had very little color but used shades of grey, black, white and brown. Although these shades may not be as exciting, the clothing was far from boring because they were dressed up with shimmering fringe and sparkly stripes that added some pop. No one ever said you can’t have fun while getting dressed for work.
This line was inclusive and can be worn by all types of women. The models were of different sizes and different looks. The patterns they were wearing were florals, plaid and stripes. These three patterns are always popular and you can’t go wrong with them. Most of the outfits were accompanied by boots or cute, practical heels. All of these are easy looks that most women feel comfortable including in their wardrobes.
When the show was almost over, the models came out one last time to show the outfits again. Confetti showered over the guests and models. As the lights started changing colors, we got to see the faces of the designers, both named Veronica Beard. Everyone had big smiles on their faces as the show came to a close. I think it’s safe to say that they achieved their goal of making women feel confident. As their motto says, they looked good, felt good and did what they love.
