Why Eyelash Extensions Are Worth Every Penny

About a year ago, my mom saw a billboard advertising eyelash extensions. She had been interested in getting them for a while, and once she figured out where to go, we made it happen.

 

The idea of eyelash extensions may be foreign to some people so let me explain: the entire purpose is to make your lashes look longer, fuller and all-around better. It works by having single lashes glued onto each of your individual lashes (this is only done to your top set of lashes). 

 

You may not even know it but there are eyelash places all over the state. I live in Parsippany so what made sense for me was to go to a lash studio in Florham Park, but they’re all over. They’re also in Montclair, Clifton, Wayne; they’re very easy to find with a quick internet search. The actual name of the studio chain is called Amazing Lash Studio, or ALS. The entire “procedure” can take over an hour but it’s worth it. I know that the girls who work at ALS Florham Park are amazing, and for the hour I’m in the room with the stylist it’s basically a therapy session. You don’t have to go to a lash studio like this but it’s recommended because that’s their main specialty. Rather than going to a hair salon that offers the service, it’s better to go to a studio that only does one beauty service.

 

If you’re worried the lashes will look fake don’t worry, they have different styles for you to choose from: gorgeous, natural, sexy and cute. As you try different styles you will learn what you like, and your stylist can help you figure out what looks best and basically come up with your own lash look. The results are amazing, and they will last for up to a month, as long as you properly care for them. Yes, there’s aftercare but it’s very low maintenance. 

 

This addition to your beauty routine is very much worth it because if you put on mascara as part of your daily makeup you won’t need to anymore; it erases a full step of your makeup routine. Also with the products that places like Amazing Lash Studio offers, your natural lashes will become more full and healthy. 

 

So, if you have been thinking about spending a little more money on your lash extensions are the way to go.
