When you are craving something sweet, and the dining hall food is not cutting it, give these easy recipes a try.
Crispy Rice Treats
- 1 pack of marshmallows
- ½ cup of peanut/almond butter
- ÂĽ cup butter
- 6 cups of rice cereal
- Melt marshmallows, nut butter of choice, and butter in 90 second intervals – be careful not to burn the marshmallows
- Mix in rice cereal
- Stir until it’s fully mixed
- Grease panÂ
- Spread into pan
- Allow mixture to cool
Truffles
- 1 bag of circus animal cookies or 1 pack of Oreos
- 4 oz cream cheese
- Melting chocolate
- Place the cookies in a plastic bag
- Crush the cookies until they resemble a dust-like constancy
- Add cream cheese and mix everything together
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a plate or baking sheet
- Pop into the freezer for at least an hour
- Melt the desired amount of chocolate
- Coat the balls in the melted chocolate
- Put the coated balls back in the freezer until the chocolate hardens
No Bakes
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup of butter (1 stick)
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups of quick oats
- Microwave the sugar, cocoa, milk, and butter for a minute and a half (taking out and stirring in between 30 second intervals)
- Stir in peanut butter, vanilla, and oats
- Drop onto wax paper and shape as desired
- Let cool
Chocolate Covered Coconutties
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 14 oz of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups fine coconut flakes
- 2 ½ cups chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp butter
- Mix the sugar, condensed milk, vanilla, and dried coconut
- Roll the mixture into small balls
- Place the balls on a lined cookies plate or pan
- Pop into the freezer for at least an hour
- Melt the chocolate and butter and mix until combined
- Dip the coconut balls into the chocolate and place them back on the sheet
- Store in the fridge until ready to eat
