With recycle mania coming to a close many are left wanting to recycle and do their part to be green. Â This do it yourself project combines the eco-friendly aspect of spring accessories.
          Â
Â
For this project you are going to need fabric of your choice, a quarter of a yard of fabric should be enough. Â Also, grab your scissors, packing tape, glue, a pencil, and cardboard. Â I used a 12 pack pop container, and scrap paper, either an old newspaper or magazine will work.

Â
Â
Lay the cardboard flat and draw two straight lines with your pencil, as thick as you want your bracelet to be.

Â
Next, cut out the straight line that you will shape into the bracelet. Â Then wrap the line of cardboard around your wrist. Â Measure how large you need it and remember you will need to be able to slide your hand through it.

Â
Once you have it measured, secure it by taping the bracelet in a circle. Â Â Trim off any remaining cardboard so you have a circle.

Â
Cut the scrap paper into strips. Â You will need enough to coat the bracelet. Â Put dots of glue along the bracelet and wrap the strips around the cardboard bracelet. Â After wrapping a couple of layers of scrap paper around the bracelet let it dry.

Lay the bracelet on the fabric to measure out the amount you need.  Once you’ve measured the amount needed cut out the chunk of fabric.

Â
Starting on the inside of the bracelet make a thin line of glue. Line the end of the fabric along the edge of the bracelet. Â Make sure to attach the fabric all the way around the inside of the bracelet and let dry.

Wrap the fabric around the outside of the bracelet. Â Glue the second seam to the inside again. Â Trim off any extra fabric.
Â
That’s it.  You’ve got your new eco-friendly spring accessory!
