Not everyone has their own Jillian Michaels kicking their butts out of bed and to the gym. So, how does one get motivated to workout? Cute workout clothes. It really works! Channel your inner Sporty Spice with these useful tips on looking cute and feeling good while working out.
Depending on your workout, you could be looking for different cuts and styles. While doing activities such as yoga, dance or pilates, you will want to wear materials that will allow you to be flexible. Many say stick to fitted clothing so that shirts and pants are not riding up or falling down while in “Downwards Dog.” If you are a runner, you may want to look into clothing that won’t get in the way of your activities. Avoid wide-leg or loose pants that could get hinder your workout. Shorts or a cropped pant are always great options.
Next time you go shopping, feel the fabrics. Believe it or not, fabrics can make or break you during your workout. Cottons can wear you down and make you feel uncomfortable while working out. Cottons are known to absorb moisture, making your clothes heavier. Stick with synthetic materials. They are generally a plastic and will evaporate from the surface as oppose to being stored. Look for polyesters, spandex, or rayon to help wick the sweat and keep you dry.
