Go, go, go
Her mind raced
What was the next thing she had to do?
She didn’t even complete her current task
But a thousand things were already piling up
And the finish line was nowhere in sight
The clock never ran out
And just like time kept going
So did her responsibilities
Never a second to catch a breath
Never a moment to just stop
Sometimes, she dreamed of what it would be like
To not have anything to do
Not a care in the world
To not have someone, something waiting for her
To not have her brain scrambling to keep track
Of all the things she was behind on
Of all the things that were coming next
But it’s what she signed up for
It’s what she wanted to do
What she’s working for
It’ll all be worth it
At the end
Right?
And so she kept going
On this never-ending road
All she wanted to do was slow down
And admire the beauty she was surrounded by
But the light never changed colors
Green
Go, go, goÂ
