October flew by and now it’s November, but here are some of my favorites from this month. These got me through the month and I genuinely love all of them! Hope you can find some gems:
These jeans are amazing!! I am kind of tall so it is hard for me to find jeans, but these fit my legs perfectly. I have them in a light blue wash, but there are tons of other colors. They are a wide leg cut but still show off the butt, and I get so many compliments every time I wear them.
I found these through Tik Tok, they are a dupe for the Aritzia ones. I feel like they make my outfits look so put together, and add a nice clean element. Plus they never fall down when I am walking to class, so no more blisters!!
I found this bracelet shopping with my grandma during one of our summer shopping trips. It is the perfect dainty piece that matches everything. It is also sterling silver so you never have to take it off and won’t turn your arm green.
Cowboy Boots
I love that cowboy boots are back in style! I bought a pair from Betty’s Boot Barn during a family trip to Nashville, TN. They are so cute and so easy to throw on with a dress or you could go more casual with jeans and a sweater. I wore them for the rest of my trip and got so many compliments, my aunt even went back and bought two pairs!
This lip liner has been a necessity of mine for 3 years now. I bought it randomly at a Nordstrom counter a few years back. It is a beautiful dark rose color and creates the perfect pout. A trick I learned from my mom: just apply it all over your lips and add your favorite gloss and you are good to go.
I saw Madison Beer wearing this and instantly fell in love! It is a beautiful liquid blush that gives you a pink flush. I just dot it on my face and blend upwards with a brush. It is easy to build and if you want more definition dab on a dot of your favorite cream blush to help set it.
Greek Salad
My boyfriend’s dad made me try this salad during a pizza night and I ate the whole bowl. I now have one almost everyday and would eat one with every meal if I could. It is easy to throw together and it gives me an excuse to eat feta (which is one of my favorite cheeses).
Rainbow Sprinkles
I think this random obsession started when I made myself a birthday cake covered in sprinkles. After that I had a giant container of sprinkles and was putting them on everything that needed a little jazzing up. I ended up buying more, and now my midnight ice cream sundae is not complete without at least a sprinkle of them.
Shirley Temples
Speaking of childhood favorites! I started drinking these over the summer with my friends and have not stopped since. They are so good and pair perfectly with any meal. I even make them at home when I need a little pick me up!
Starbucks Apple Crisp Oat Milk Macchiato with Two Pumps of Chai
This drink is scrumdiddlyumptious! It was another TikTok find, that I wish I found out sooner. It tastes like apple cinnamon oatmeal on steroids. I love it for long fall drives and even have rewarded myself with them during late study nights.
Scrubs
I had never heard about this show until my boyfriend made me watch an episode during our night in and I was hooked. It is hilarious, but still pulls on your heart strings. However, it is not your typical medical show— nothing like Greys. Instead it is whimsical, heartwarming, and easy to throw when you do not know what to watch. So it is great when you get home after a long day.
Love Hypothesis
I had seen this all over TikTok, so when it was the winner for our October book I was so excited (shot out to Her Campus MSU book club). The story portrays a love story that had me wanting to read the whole book in one night! As a student myself, the main character Oliver was very relatable. Plus the author included cute hypotheses before every chapter to give you a sneak peak of what was to happen, which made it even more difficult to put the book down.
Taylor Swift
As a long time Swifty, every fall I become obsessed with listening to Miss Taylor Alison Swift. Her new album came just in time, and obsessed is an understatement! I have my Do it for Taylor playlist on constantly. Whether on a long fall drive, walking through the colorful leaves, or when hanging out with friends. Fair warning that playing this album may start an all out dance party, which may end up with everyone standing and singing on kitchen chairs. I speak from experience.
Though a very random assortment, these were some of my favorite things throughout the month. They made up the fun I had with my friends, my cozy nights in, my long fall days, and late night study sessions. I hope some of my favorites for October will become some of yours in months to come!
