I love the aesthetic of getting coffee from Starbucks, but I don’t really like coffee that much. So, I decided that for a week I would try different drinks and coffees at Starbucks to see which ones I like the best.
Monday: Brown sugar shaken espresso with sweet cream foam and caramel drizzle
Now, starting off with this one was probably a bad idea because it was the best one; it set my standards too high and made me want to stop right there. The first sip I had was of course good because it was all sweet cream cold foam, but then as I started to drink more, I could taste the coffee. The coffee was strong at first, and I did not think I would like it that much, but it got better with every sip. I gradually loved it more. The combination of everything was great. I also liked how it still tasted pretty good once the ice melted.

Tuesday: a caramel macchiato with sweet cream foam, oat milk, 3 pumps of white mocha, and caramel
So, with this drink, it is partially my fault I didn’t really like it because I didn’t mix it around to get the full effect. This drink has all the coffee at the top and the cream at the bottom, so I never had a chance to fully like the drink. When I was drinking the coffee part I was fine with it, but by the time I finished it, it was too sweet.

Wednesday: Pumpkin cream chai tea latte
This is where I tried to have the full aesthetic and get into the fall drinks. As I was in the line for this, I tried to think if I’ve ever had or liked anything with a pumpkin flavor. I couldn’t think of anything, which should have been a sign. After the first sip, my brain immediately did not like it. I contemplated getting another drink, but I decided to give it another chance. I still didn’t like it, but I didn’t hate it anymore. I still would never get it again.

Thursday: Iced matcha tea Latte with oat milk, vanilla sweet cream foam, 4 pumps of vanilla syrup, 2 scoops of brown sugar syrup, and 3 scoops of vanilla bean powder
This one is kind of a cheat because I’ve had a variation of matcha multiple times before. The first time I had it, it was the basic version just like the caramel macchiato. I hated it because it tasted like straight grass. Then I started to add stuff and I liked it, but nothing compares to this combination. I love this drink so much because it tastes like a better and sweeter version of milk, but it’s not too sweet. Also, as the ice melts, it doesn’t start to taste bad for a long time. It is a really good drink if you like not too much kick in your drink but still want to look cool walking around campus.

Friday: Ice shaken espresso with oat milk and salted caramel cold foam with cinnamon on top
This drink was fairly good, but it was just a more “plain” version of the brown sugar one to me. I really liked the salted caramel cold foam on top because it added a new flavor to the drink that complemented each other. This drink I have the least to say about because it didn’t really stand out to me.

This was such a fun thing to do to get me to leave my room and sit and do my work. I definitely have found my two new regular drinks now. Also, side note, the first time I went I had the baked apple croissant. OMG, this is one of the best pastries they have there. I beg you guys if y’all try it please do not sell them all out. I hope I give ya’ll some new drink ideas and that you love them.
