MSU’s chapter of Her Campus was gifted samples of the new Sol de Janeiro’s DelĂcia Drench body butter to share with members, this review reflects the writer’s personal opinion.

Personally, I have never really been into skincare, makeup, the latest brands, or what is trending. Usually I opt for a drug store brand or whatever my dermatologist has prescribed me. However, I would like to take some time to write about why you should run, not walk, to purchase Sol De Janeiro products.

During these Michigan winters, I fall victim to chronically dry skin on my hands, arms, and (worst of all) my face and nose. Since I have started college, the problem has gotten worse as I make 10-20 minute walks to class in freezing temperatures and wind everyday. I have tried several over the counter lotions, but they have either not worked at all or made my skin more irritated. I was introduced to Bum Bum Cream last year and it allowed my skin to make great progress. However, I recently tried  Sol De Janeiro’s Body Butter and it did wonders for my skin.

Although it can go anywhere, I tried it on my face and nose. I was not expecting fast results, as these areas were extremely dry, however, it completely got rid of the dryness on my face overnight! No product has ever been able to do this for me and I could not believe my eyes in the morning. It also left my skin feeling silky smooth and with a glow.

As a bonus, they took the “butter” in Body Butter seriously. It literally has the consistency  of softened butter and a butter cookie scent that was not too overpowering. I only applied a small amount as well, so I know it will last a while! After reading this review, Sol De Janeiro better be in your shopping cart.
