The term “English Rose” describes a British lady who has rosy cheeks. Many British celebrities such as Emma Watson, Antonia Clarke, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have rocked this look.

Another example of the English Rose is Kate Winslet in her legendary film Titanic, when she had a dainty doll look with flushed cheeks. In honor of the 20 years of Titanic, British makeup artist and Lisa Eldridge invited makeup artist Tina Earnshaw, one of the key makeup artists in the film’s makeup department, onto her YouTube channel to recreate Rose’s look. In the video, Earnshaw first applied By Terry Glow-Expert Duo Stick in Terry Rosa 2, Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Roly Poly Rosy on the model’s cheeks to mimic a rosy effect. Finally, she put Bourjois Little Pot Round Blusher in 54 Rose Frisson on the model’s cheeks to set the creamy texture. Sadly, it seems that this blush is not around anymore. And By Terry seems to be overpriced. But stay tuned, because below I’ve listed some alternatives will help you achieve the same style of “I just had a morning workout session” flush.

Don’t be scared off by this bright red color. Once the color is blended onto your skin, it turns into a natural pink that looks like you just pinched your cheeks. Because it is such a bright color, it will stand out on any skin tone. A cheek and lip tint in one — this product is your best multifunctional friend. When you’re in a hurry, dab a little on your lips to create Keira Knightley’s signature pout.
2. Elf Long Wear Cream Blush Palette – $6
Four shades in one affordable compact, this palette is definitely a win-win product. Also, with the diverse color range, from peachy pink to apricot, you can customize the shades until you are able to reach your desired color. Also, this palette features more purple and pink shades, which suit darker skin tone really well. This cream blush can be a potential dupe for the infamous Stila Convertible Color, which was featured by Alexa Chung, an English model, fashion designer, and a true style icon. Chung, in both a collaboration with makeup artist Lisa Eldridge , and also in an article on Stylist, mentioned that the Stila pot was an essential in her makeup bag.
3. Milani Cosmetics Rose Powder Blush. – $8.99
If you are not a fan of cream blush, then you might want to try this out. My tip is to choose a powder blush that has little or no shimmer, which will look more natural on your cheeks. 08 Tea Rose is my all-time favorite shade. And, who can resist this gorgeous compact?
Finish off your look by grooming your eyebrows with brow gel and adding tinted lip balm. You are now ready to rock the English Rose look. Happy blushing!
