Watching YouTube is one of my favorite ways to relax. I tend to watch many different kinds of content, but I’ve definitely watched college/lifestyle videos for the longest amount of time. Even back in high school, I loved watching vlogs about people in college and thinking about what my life would be like once I got to that age (I can’t say that I ever predicted doing remote school from my room, however). I’m always on the lookout for new channels that fit my interests, and these six women have been my go-tos for some time now.

Hannah Elise

I’ve been subscribed to Hannah’s channel for probably close to two years now and she is by far one of my all-time favorite YouTubers. She mostly makes college videos and she is a senior commuter student in Pennsylvania. Hannah also makes DIY and thrift flip videos, as well as advice content. She uploads weekly, so there’s always a new video to look forward to.

basicallyreese

Reese is a lifestyle YouTuber also based in Pennsylvania. She is a really awesome resource to look at if you’ve ever considered an alternative to college, be that taking time off or dropping out until you feel ready to go back. Reese just recently dropped out of college, and while there is a stigma around both dropping out of college and doing YouTube full time, her content is amazing and very relaxing. My favorite video of hers recently was one where she made paintings based off of different Harry Styles songs. Reese also uploads weekly.

Nicole Rafiee

Nicole is a college-turned-lifestyle YouTuber, who is again based in Pennsylvania (a state I do not and have not lived in, but apparently I like people from there). She is a recent graduate of Temple University, finishing her degree in December of 2020. Her videos are also very relaxing. I love how calming her voice is, and she has a kitten named Clementine who is just adorable. I don’t know if Nicole has a posting schedule, but I believe she also has weekly uploads.

Abby Asselin

Abby is a grad student at the University of Alabama getting her masters in accounting. She lives in Tuscaloosa with her boyfriend, Griffin, and her dog, Ella. She makes great, very aesthetically-pleasing content about balancing school with extracurricular activities, while also managing to take care of oneself in the process. I’ve been watching her videos for a little over a year now, and while I love her college content, I’m so excited to see what she does next in the corporate world.

Lily Rakow

Lily is a college junior who is getting both an online degree at one of the University of Maryland campuses and a certificate at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She lives at home in Maryland with her parents, one of her sisters, and two dogs. Her content ranges from college to lifestyle to wellness, sharing personal tips and recipes along the way. Lily uploads on average twice a week.

Eve Bennet

Based in the UK, Eve is a third-year language student at the University of Oxford. Language students usually take their third year to study abroad and get more practical experience with their chosen languages (Eve is studying Spanish and German) and while she was able to spend a few months in Berlin, Germany, Eve’s last full month there was spent recovering from Covid-19, which she contracted from a coworker at an internship. Eve is currently back home in the West Midlands of England and makes lifestyle and advice content surrounding living and making the most out of life in lockdown. Eve is a staunch lover of Billy Joel and co-founded a student-run journalism site called the Meridian Magazine.

I really love watching these ladies, and look forward to all of their uploads. Also, if listening to content is more up your alley: Nicole, Abby, Lily, and Eve all host their own podcasts (Eve runs a podcast for the Meridian Magazine). While I tend to prefer their videos to their podcasts, the quality of their production and their lovely personalities are consistent across platforms. I hope this helped you find some new YouTubers to binge-watch or listen to!
