With classes wrapping up, final exams and the end-of-year scramble can be a stressful time in college! If you have a little extra time in your night, adding these simple self care rituals can help ease some stress and make sure you get a full night of rest.

Try some nighttime yoga

I have always loved the thought of practicing yoga regularly, but I often use the excuse that I don’t have enough time. Recently I have been following relaxing nighttime yoga tutorials on YouTube, and they have made me so much more relaxed! Nighttime yoga is very simple and seems to include a lot of laying down and meditating, which is great for people of all skill levels. There are a ton of great videos that are around ten minutes long, so you also don’t have to carve out that much extra time. Plus, you can wear your pajamas!

No tech after nine

I personally have always loved to read, and lately I have been more diligent about replacing screen time at night with some reading. I like to pick a certain time, which for me is 9pm, and put away my phone and computer. You can choose any time that works well for you, and tell your brain it is time to relax through some reading.

Try some herbal tea

A warm (and not caffeinated) cup of tea is so soothing, especially before bed. Pair this with some night time reading and boom! Instant relaxation.

Add a calming scent

Essential oils and fragrances such as lavender are known for being relaxing, so why not incorporate some into your routine? I have a humidifier which I like to add some lavender oil to to diffuse throughout the night, and is a great way to subtly enjoy essential oils without them being overpowering. There are also pillow sprays which you can add right on to your linens every night to get that calming scent.

Here’s to a chill and relaxing night of self care! Sweet dreams.

Xoxo, Bella
