If you are like me, last Sunday was a memorable one because it marked the end of Euphoria season 2. Some rumors say that the next season might not be out until 2024. This is a very long time to wait. As someone who watches multiple shows at the same time to avoid the hollow feeling after finishing a television series, I have some suggestions just for you.

How To Get Away With Murder (2014- 2020) – Netflix

This legal thriller focuses on a brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor, Annalise Keating, and six of her students. These students assist Annalise with cases alongside her employees, Frank and Bonnie. However, after a night that led to the coverup of murder, these nine people are thrown into a tunnel of mysteries and dark truths are revealed.

Ozark (2017-Present) – Netflix

A shady financial planner, Marty, relocates his family from Chicago to a summer resort community in the Ozarks. With his wife and two children, Marty is forced to pay off a large amount of debt to a Mexican drug lord. This fractured family reconnects as their fate hangs in the balance.

The Sex Lives Of College Girls (2021-Present) – HBO

I have never watched it before but the reviews look good (97% Rotten Tomatoes). It focuses on the lives of four 18-year old college girls as they navigate their new freedom in Essex College.

Abbott Elementary (2021-Present) – ABC

Sometimes it’s good to get away from series that revolve around secrecy and focus on something more relaxing. A group of dedicated teachers and a tone-deaf principal find themselves in a public Philadelphia elementary school. With so many odds stacked against them, these teachers are determined to help their students succeed in life.

Sex Education (2019-Present) – Netflix

If you want a less intense but just as interesting version of Euphoria, then this is for you. A socially awkward teenager, Otis, who has a sex-therapist mother, teams up with his classmates to start an underground sex therapy clinic. However, this leads to a lot of drama and discovery for the teenagers at Moordale High School.

Umbrella Academy (2019-Present) -Netflix

If you love time travel and superheroes, this is the right pick. On one day in 1989, 43 infants were inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his “children” to save the world. In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. Fast forward to the present time, the six surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves’ passing. They work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father’s death, but divergent personalities and abilities again pull the estranged family apart, and a global apocalypse is another imminent threat.

These are many shows that will keep you at the edge of your seat, make you chuckle, or just make you feel good. I hope you never feel disinterested as you watch these suggested TV series!
