Since the school year has started and we’ve moved to online learning, I have decided to start and end my last year at Mount Holyoke strong by staying organized. To do this, I have started bullet journaling again. I started doing it my sophomore year of college but stopped it after that school year finished. For those of you who don’t know what bullet journaling is, it’s basically like if a diary and planner came together. The best part about it is that you can style it however you want, whether it be types of things you put on your pages or what themes and color palettes you use. In this article, I will list some of the things I put in my bullet journal. Hopefully this will give novice bullet journalers some ideas for what to put in their journals.

1. Calendars
I keep a monthly calendar spread in my bullet journal. This is how I keep track of all my assignments for school, holidays, and important dates/appointments. The calendars also allow me to explore my creativity by doing a new theme each month. For instance, I do a Halloween themed calendar for October and a Christmas themed calendar for December.
2. Mood tracker
This kind of tracker I have in my journal for every month. It’s a way for me to track how I’m feeling each day and also how productive I am. This allows me to be creative because just like the calendar I can also play with different themes. For instance, I did my October mood tracker as a witch’s brew with bubbles as each of the dates and for May I did flowers to signify spring coming.
3. TV show and book tracker
This allows me to track what shows I’ve watched or what season I’m on. I also have a tracker to keep track of the books I’ve read. By having these kinds of trackers, I have memory of some of my favorite tv shows and books so that I can recommend them to friends and family.
Hope these tips give you some inspiration on starting or adding to your bullet journal! Happy journaling!
