This week’s team profile is about our amazing Social Media Manager, Lauren Edminster. I’ve known her basically all of my life, but I still learn new things about her everyday. Here’s some questions I got to ask her recently, so everyone can get to know her better.
Name: Lauren Edminster
Major/minor: History Education/English
Hometown: Murray, KY
HC Position: Social Media Manager/Writer/Editor
Zodiac sign: Capricorn/Aquarius Cusp… an old man that came into the library literally guessed that once.
What’s your favorite food? Anything vegan from Qdoba
Favorite TV show?
LE: I don’t really watch TV, but I like crime shows (Jordyn and I need to get her obsessed with TV shows obviously)
Favorite place to travel?
LE: I’ve been to Zimbabwe the most and I absolutely love it there, but I don’t know if that counts as “travel” since it’s a mission trip. I guess London was pretty cool, but i was six so…(she’s literally the coolest)
Dream vacation?:
LE: Italy, Greece, or Spain.
Best OR worst date you’ve ever been on?
LE: Well guys don’t really talk to me, and I have social anxiety so I don’t go on dates… (if any guys are reading this: Lauren is a catch and deserves everything she wants and more, so if you can do that then maybe you’re good enough for her.)
Are you involved in anything else besides HC on campus?
LE: AOII, “you gots to be a panda or you gots to go,” and Campus Outreach
What’s your favorite thing about Murray State?
LE:Getting to make lots of new friends while maintaining friendships with people I grew up with that stayed in Murray as well! (aww, I’m definitely one of the old friendships.)
What’s your most embarrassing college moment?
LE:Literally everyday of college. I’ve fallen down the stairs in Faculty, walked in and sat down in a class that I wasn’t enrolled in, and I trip over my own feet daily. (I’m crying-laughing just imagining her fall down the stairs.)
What’s something people don’t know about you?
LE: I can bend objects with my mind– I did it to the light pole in front of Dunkin’ Donuts once. (And by bending, she means crashing her car into the pole…)
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
LE: I don’t know, but hopefully I’ll be happy wherever I am! (how great is this answer, like yes girl I hope you are happy in whatever you do.)
