This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at NCAT chapter.

With the SGA Concert days away, it’s your last chance to get your ears ready for the concert of the year.

What are the best ways to listen to music in preparation for the concert?

Apple Music

Apple Music gives music lovers access to over 30 million songs. There is also a 24/7 radio station alongside personal music recommendations. You can get a free three-month trial membership to try out the service.

Cost: It is $9.99/month but families can get it for $14.99/month. There is no student discount.

TIDAL

Tidal is the world’s first music service with high fidelity sound quality, high definition music videos, music articles, interviews, and  music downloads while offline. Hifi services include lossless high fidelity quality music. TIDAL was actually created by artists Beyoncé, and Jay-Z.

Cost: TIDAL has a student discount of $4.99/month for premium and $9.99/month for Hifi. Standard plans cost $9.99/month for premium and $19.99/month for Hifi. The price for family plans varies.

Pandora

Pandora creates playlists based off of selected genres and albums. Pandora One allows customers to listen to music without ads and more daily skips.

Cost: Free with ads. Pandora One is $4.99/month and $54.89/year.

Spotify

Spotify allows customers to search for any track, artist or album and listen for free with ads. They can also make and share playlists. With Spotify Premium you can play any song ad-free, any time on any device: mobile, tablet or computer.

Cost: Free with ads. Students can get Spotify Premium for $4.99/month. Without the student discount, it will cost $9.99/month.

With so many places to choose from, the decision is hard. When in doubt, YouTube is always available to browse through. Maybe you’ll even find the next big artist!

Here is a GHOE playlist on Spotify to help you get ready for the show!

Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who should be majoring in Weddings, but is actually a Journalism & Mass Communications student with a concentration in Multimedia. Originally I am from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 30 minutes south of our nation’s capital. I have lived here all my life, but I’m not afraid to branch out and explore the world. This past summer I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia to engage and immerse myself in Australian culture. The experience was phenomenal and I’m already counting down the days until I can return that beautiful country. Check out my Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
