This may be an unpopular opinion, but I chose Dunkin over Starbucks any day. Even though Dunkin doesn’t always have the best service, they are frequently inconsistent with their drinks, and it doesn’t cost that much less than Starbucks, that pink and orange logo always keeps me coming back for more.
To add even more to the negative list, Dunkin has never gotten the art of holiday drinks quite right. Their peppermint mocha would faint at the sight of Starbucks’. Their pumpkin spice latte, while a little bit better, never hit the mark. But, they have finally done it. Dunkin has claimed the spot of best Valentine’s Day drinks and food!
You may have heard of their new Pink Velvet Macchiato, which sounds and looks weird at first glance. I mean what even is Pink Velvet? But after trying it, I can assure you it is worth the four dollars. This drink is coffee with red velvet cake flavoring and a hint of cream cheese frosting (turning it pink), and it is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. If you love medium-sweet coffee with a twist, this is the perfect drink for you!
On top of this, they have introduced two new, heart-shaped donuts. One is brownie batter filled with rich, chocolatey brownie batter-flavored buttercream filling, and topped with vanilla-flavored icing and chocolate sprinkles, and the other is Cupid’s Choice filled with Bavarian Kreme and topped with strawberry-flavored icing and pink sprinkles. I can vouch that both of these donuts are out of this world! With this, Dunkin has also released two breakfast sandwiches that feature Beyond Sausage! This is a great way to get in some quick, plant-based protein in the mornings.
While Dunkin has its flaws, it will always be my go-to. If you are craving a plant-based breakfast, something sweet, or are just in need of some holiday cheer, Dunkin is the place to go.
