I love shoes, especially sneakers. Here are some of my current favorites that are both comfortable and cool, along with some ways that I would style them.
Adidas Astir
In the era of the “dad sneaker”, the Adidas Astir are their perfect counterparts. I swear my mom had a pair of shoes that looked exactly like this when I was a kid. Though chunky and arguably tacky, in my opinion, the mom sneaker can elevate a simple athleisure fit into a “look.” Though I haven’t tried this yet, I think they can be worn with a slightly dressier look to make it look like you don’t care in the coolest possible way. It also doesn’t hurt that the Astir’s are the comfiest sneakers I’ve ever worn.
Reebok Club C Double Geo Hi
I don’t own these sneakers yet, but they are next on my purchase list. I love the Reebok Club C, but they’ve become the indie girl Air Force 1. I don’t want to feel like a bandwagon, so the Club C Hi it is. This high top looks good with any pant length, and the touch of deep green on the back can be both a pop of color in an outfit or a muted neutral.
Nike Air Max 90s
Please bury me with these sneakers. If this shoe has one fan, it’s me. If it has zero, I’m dead. I love wearing these shoes with my athleisure outfits, but they also are stylish enough to wear with jeans. I love their versatility, especially when I want to look cute but have to walk a mile and a half to class.
Nike Blazer Mid ‘77
The Nike Blazer Mid is the High Top Converse’s cool older sister. While I originally invested in this sturdy shoe for weightlifting, they have proven themselves to be the most versatile shoe in my closet. While a converse should really only be worn in the daytime with casual outfits or for the sake of comfort. The Blazer’s leather makes it a classier sneaker for both day and night looks. While it makes a casual outfit look more purposeful, it allows a night out look to give off a more carefree vibe.
