Tomorrow, Friday October 23, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Scope are partnering together to sponsor their annual Swimsuit Sprint to benefit the Salvation Army. The event is open to the whole campus, and involves participants, “taking it off to make a difference.” The event will commence at 5 PM at the Bergami patio with food from Wings Over New Haven and at 6 PM runners will gather onto Kayo Field wearing the clothing they wish to donate and will remove them prior to the run. Non-runners are also encouraged to bring a clothing donation, and runners are not required to be in swimsuits in order to participate.
The sprint will end at the Rec Center, with runners being led in by the Funky Dawgs Brass Band for a free We The Kings concert. Participants will be prioritized for entry to the concert. Afterwards, General Admission will open to Undergraduate, and then Graduate students.Â
Last year, the event collected 2,300 pounds of clothing, and SAE is hoping to top that this year. For more information on the event, see the link below:
