Autumn In New York: Things To Add To Your Bucket List This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New School chapter.

The leaves are changing and so are we. Here are some of the “must-dos” for the fall season if you find yourself in New York City.

  1. Shopping at the fleas & sample sales

Who doesn’t love a good shopping trip? Going to the fleas in NYC is a must. You’re able to find such beautiful jewelry and vintage clothing. My favorite is definitely the Chelsea Flea on 25th Street. Along with that, you can never go wrong with going to a sample sale. You’re able to find the best deals on fall jackets at the sample sale pop-ups. Stay tuned on social media to see when your favorite brands will have a sample sale.

  1. Bakery & hot coco dates in Central Park

This fall, grab a group of friends, pick up some pastries from some of your favorite spots in NYC, and have a date in Central Park. The cool weather mixed in with a nice cup of hot cocoa is the perfect way to spend a cozy afternoon this fall season.

  1. Painting pumpkins

Go get yourself some paints and take a trip to the farmers market for a pumpkin to decorate. NYC’s farmers markets are bringing in giant pumpkins, making them a perfect canvas. Painting pumpkins this season is fun and if you’re not so good at carving ( like me ), this is the ideal way to add some decoration.

  1. Go to Cityside Pumpkin Patch

As the leaves fall and the weather gets cooler, the Summer Club in Queens slowly turns into a must-visit pumpkin patch in NYC. You are able to pick pumpkins, smash pumpkins, do some scarecrow archery, etc. Also offering food and drinks is a fun way to spend a spooky day in the city.
