The 2018 Winter Olympics are still going strong, but you may be getting bored of your usual viewing spot. That’s why we’ve rounded up the top NYC hotspots where you can watch the games and cheer on your favorite teams with other Olympics enthusiasts.
Â
Haven Rooftop
You may remember this place from our NYC hot chocolate round-up, but that’s only because it’s truly the ultimate winter wonderland. Haven Rooftop’s Ski Chalet offers twinkling light scenes and snow shows which provide the best backdrop to feel like you’re in a front row seat at the game! While you relax, enjoy Haven’s Crispy Calamari, Fish Tacos (a must try!!) and sip on their signature craft cocktails.Â
SideBar
For those who are looking for a sporty yet sophisticated atmosphere, SideBar is the place for you. Located in the heart of Union Square, this hip hotspot boasts 21 High Definition TVs and Projectors for the ultimate viewing experience. Want a snack to enjoy during the game? We suggest SideBar’s signature Six Layer Nachos. Yum!
W New York – Downtown
W New York-Downtown’s Living Room Bar and Terrace are opening their doors to the public. That’s right. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to watch the Olympics here. In honor of the 2018 host city, W New York- Downtown has partnered with Oiji, an acclaimed Korean restaurant in the East Village, to create a Soju cocktail menu fitting for the occasion. Guests of the hotel can simply show their key card at the restaurant for a complimentary welcome drink. Also, with every cocktail purchase, guests receive a free mask by the famous Korean beauty brand, The Face Shop!
Tender Restaurant
Tender restaurant offers a more cool, relaxed environment with nine 55” inch HDTVs and two 80” projectors. Watch all the events while sipping on craft beers, artisan cocktails and munch on bites such as Avocado Fries and Crab Cakes.
Social Bar and Grill
What goes well with the Winter Olympics? How about a cotton-candy cosmo? Whether pink or blue, Social Bar and Grill will be serving these delights all throughout the month of February. Oh, and just so you know, blue means single and pink means taken. So, what’s your color?
